Astrologers were mathematicians
Until the early 1980s, every astrologer drew charts by hand. In ancient Greek, an astrologer was called mathematikos: the one who calculates. Drawing your birth chart once gives you something no app can: you will know why your Ascendant sits exactly there.
Four tools, that is all
A sharp pencil and an eraser, a compass for the circles, a ruler for the lines, a protractor for the degrees. On screen, your finger or your mouse does the same job.
Three books did the job of the software
The ephemeris gives the planets and the sidereal time at midnight, day by day. The table of houses gives the Midheaven, the Ascendant and the cusps. The atlas gives latitude, longitude and time zone. Here, all three are printed for the chart you draw.
Draw Audrey Hepburn, or yourself
Follow along with Audrey Hepburn, born in Ixelles, Brussels, on 4 May 1929 at 3:00 in the morning. Or draw your own birth chart. Every exercise is computed for the chart you pick, so each number you type gets checked.
One step, one answer
Every step works the same way. You get the instruction and the numbers you need. You work it out, on paper or on screen. You type your result, and you get the answer with the full calculation, using your own numbers.
