A photo of the sky, taken for you
At the minute you were born, the Sun, the Moon and the planets each stood somewhere in the sky. A birth chart is simply that photo, drawn as a circle. Nothing magic: it is astronomy you can check.
Build the wheel yourself
Aries sits at the start, on the left. Tap the signs in order to complete the circle: they run counterclockwise, from spring to winter. Twelve taps and you know the zodiac by heart.
Three things: date, time, place
The date gives the planets. The time and the place give the rising sign and the houses, the personal part. Two people born the same day, two hours apart, already have different charts.
The whole language has 31 pieces
7 planets, 12 signs, 12 houses. That is all. The planets are the actors, the signs are their costumes, the houses are the stage where the scene happens. Learn these 31 and you can read any chart.
Who, how, where
Every placement reads like a little sentence. Venus (who: love, pleasure) in Taurus (how: slowly, with the senses) in the 10th house (where: career). A love of beauty that shows up at work. You just read your first placement.
Learn on a story you know
The fastest way to learn is not a book of definitions. It is your own chart, or the chart of someone famous whose life you know. Each rule then lands on a real memory.
