How to learn astrology online: where to start, and what it costs.

The short answer

Start with your own birth chart. Learn the building blocks: planets, signs, houses and aspects. Then learn timing, the techniques that tell you when things happen. Practice on dates you know.

The order that works

1. Your birth chart: Sun, Moon and rising sign.

2. The alphabet: 7 traditional planets, 12 signs, 12 houses.

3. Aspects: how planets talk to each other.

4. Reading a whole chart: love, work, health.

5. Timing: transits, eclipses and annual profections, then the big chapters of a life with zodiacal releasing and firdaria.

Books, podcasts, video courses or short lessons?

Books are deep but slow, and you read alone. Podcasts are great company, but hard to practice with. Long video courses are rich, and many people stop after week two.

Short lessons with a quiz work because you check yourself every day. That is the format I chose: one idea per card, a real chart, a question at the end. Add a good podcast on top and you go fast.

How long it takes

A few weeks to read the basics of a birth chart. A few months to use timing techniques with confidence.

I am a math person, so here is my rule: thirty real cases beat three hundred pages of theory. Take a wedding, a move, a new job, and look at what the techniques said that day.
