Four temperaments
Fire moves and inspires. Earth builds and holds. Air connects and talks. Water feels and absorbs. Each element has three signs, and they come back in the same order around the wheel: fire, earth, air, water.
Start, hold, adapt
Every season has three acts. Cardinal signs open the season (they start things). Fixed signs are the heart of the season (they hold on). Mutable signs end it (they adapt and pass the baton).
Two words describe any sign
Taurus is fixed earth: it holds what is solid. Steady, loyal, a bit stubborn. Gemini is mutable air: ideas that move. Curious, quick, a bit scattered. Mix the element and the mode and you already know the sign.
Sort the twelve signs
One sign at a time: put it in its element. You will soon see the pattern. Fire, earth, air, water, and again, three times around the wheel.
Neighbours never match
Two signs side by side never share an element or a mode. That is why each sign feels like a correction of the one before: impulsive Aries is followed by slow Taurus, proud Leo by helpful Virgo.
