The Saturn return in numbers: do lives really change at 29?
Astrologers say the Saturn return, around 29, brings big decisions. I am a math person, so I checked. We took 8,451 dated life events of 6,016 famous people and looked at the age when each one happened.
How we counted
Each event has a date: a wedding, a divorce, a job loss or a resignation, a move. We compute the age of the person on that day, in full years.
Then we compare the two years of the first Saturn return (ages 28 and 29) with the years just around it (24 to 26 and 32 to 34). If the Saturn return means something, those two years should stand out.
What we found
Weddings: about the same rate at 28 and 29 as in the years around. No clear Saturn return peak here. The most common age is 25.
Divorces and separations: about the same rate at 28 and 29 as in the years around. No clear Saturn return peak here. The most common age is 32.
Job losses and resignations: not enough dated events to say.
Moves to a new home or country: not enough dated events to say.

How to read it
A peak does not prove that Saturn causes anything. Many things happen around 29 for social reasons too: studies end, careers settle, couples decide.
What astrology adds is timing for you. Your Saturn return date is precise, it comes from your birth chart, and the house Saturn crosses tells you which part of life is concerned. That is something a statistic on everyone cannot give you.
The limits, honestly
These are famous people, whose lives are better documented than ours. Dates come from public biographies, so some events are missing. Ages are counted in full years, and a Saturn return can start at 28 and end at 30. Take these numbers as a first look, not a proof.
