Jupiter takes almost 12 years to go around the zodiac. So at about 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72, it comes back to the place it held when you were born. That is your Jupiter return: a year when doors open, often in one precise area of your life.
The math first
Jupiter spends about one year in each sign. One full lap takes 11.86 years. Multiply by 1, 2, 3 and so on: 11.9, 23.7, 35.6, 47.4, 59.3, 71.2. Those are your Jupiter return ages, a few months before each birthday that ends a cycle of 12.
Like every outer planet, Jupiter seems to go backward a few months each year. So it can cross your birth degree once or three times. The whole season lasts about one year: the time Jupiter stays in your Jupiter sign.

Jupiter is in Leo from 1 July 2026 to 27 July 2027. If Jupiter is in Leo in your birth chart, this is your return.
